what software do they use to make the simpsons?
i know they no longer use cel animation, and use some kind of computer animation instead, but what do they use?
Not sure if you're interested in finding a software app that can do something similar, or if you simply want to know what they use. It could be something like 3DSMax or Maya (3d animation software, used for movies etc.) with cell rendering, or something more 2d-based -- maybe even something that the animation company designed themselves. I think AKOM is the main company doing the final animation for Simpsons etc. lately. Also, I think I heard it was all 3d now though, even when it looks 2d.
Something similar to synfig seems the obvious choice if you want to do something similar in 2D.
