Does a book cover image affects your reading at all?
Example: Book cover with a picture of a main character. While you're reading the story, do you imagine the character to look the same as the cover image, or is your image of the main character independent of the cover image?
Do you prefer the book cover to be vague, and let you imagine the details in the story on your own, or do you not mind either way?
Most times a person is featured on the book cover i do imagine them as the MC. Also if an important object (let's say a necklace) if its on the cover it helps me what it looks like because sometimes the author dosent do a great job of getting the image across! Also if they cover is really bad I don't even give the time to read the back (yes I know don't judge a book by it's cover). This happened with pretty little liars. The cover was just a doll so I didn't even read it for a long time! I ended up loving it!
