Separating Erotic Art from Pornography
Defining erotic art is difficult since perceptions of both what is erotic and what is art fluctuate. A sculpture of a phallus in some African cultures may be considered a traditional symbol of potency though not overtly erotic.
It's also worthwhile to note the distinction between erotic art and pornography, which most often features more explicit sexual scenes and focuses more on the act of sex and less on the features of the human body. The distinction may lie in intent and message; erotic art would be items intended as pieces of art, encapturing formal elements of art, and drawing on other historical artworks. Pornography may also use these tools, but is primarily intended to arouse one sexually. Differences aside, some people still have a tough time understanding the differences, and the terms remain highly subjective.
As we move forward, erotic photographers will continue to thrive and there will always be an audience for their work. During the last few centuries, society has expanded its view of what can be regarded as as art and a number of new styles developed during the 19th century such as Impressionism and Realism. These pieces of erotic art may fall into a variety of categories, from redheads to pinup models, comics and many others.
Today, the Internet has made it increasingly difficult to access the wealth of erotic photography because it is cluttered with pornographic images, even so, there are some online resources that have creative and artist images that are interesting instances of professional erotic photography.
Many photographers are known entirely for their nude and erotic photography, and are sought out by extremely reputable agencies.It's not abnormal for a photographer to devote his or her life to mastering their craft. Some have even won awards for their work, and are widely recognized in the photographic community.
The majority of individuals consider the work of Playboy to be the most appropriate example of erotic art, but there are some new players that have demonstrated excellent examples. The one that comes to most people's mind is MetArt, which stands for "most erotic teen". They have set a high standard for erotic photos and their models are very stunning. Whereas pornography sites generate descriptions like "trashy" and "demeaning" the work of MetArt is very sensual and tame in comparision to many other sites. Their galleries features high-resolution images that capture every detail of the girl's body, and their photographers often make use of fantastic settings as a backdrop for their work.

How do you prepare the lines of a figure drawing for coloring in Photoshop?
I draw figure drawings in sort of a cross between anime, comic, and pinup style. I use a regular pencil and I usually clean up the lines as best I can and then use a very thin, fine tipped pen to ink them. However, when I scan it in preperation for coloring, I feel like the lines are still far to thick and they appear rather dominant in my finished product. I look at some anime CG artists and they have these thin, smooth and almost perfect lines; what's the deal? If I scan my plain pencil art, the lines are too rough for coloring. Does anyone have an idea?
What I have done in the past is to color the lines the same as their adjacent color spaces. Real objects don't have boundary lines, they have edges...! If your line is in a shaded area, you can blur the inside edge of your line for a gradient effect.
