What is Asia PCB manufacturing (Printed Circuit Board) market in Aug’09?
Most PCB circuit board suppliers are facing sluggish market demand for mobile phones around the world since the world wide economic plug. However, Taiwanese PCB’s (printed circuit board) makers, who together supply over half of the global market for handset PCBs, generally posted moderate sales in August’09. Which in fact is showing a sign of consumer recovery as mobile phone is one of the fastest selling consumer product which can be seen as one of the economic recovery indicator.
One of the biggest Taiwan PCB manufacturing house, Compeq Manufacturing Co., Ltd., for instance, reported sales revenue of NT$1.518 billion (US$46 million at US$1: NT$33) for August’09, slightly up 0.78% from July’09. Compeq is still optimistic about its sales performance in September to November, because seasonal booms will hit the market for conventional mobile phones in the fourth quarter.
On the other hand, another Taiwanese PCB giant, WUS Printed Circuit Co., Ltd., moved its assembly lines of LCD (liquid crystal display) PCBs to China, resulted a comparatively strong monthly growth of 4.1% in its combined revenue for August, reaching NT$267 million (US$8.09 million), and raked in aggregate revenue of NT$1.998 billion (US$60.54 million) in the first eight months of the year.
The largest handset PCB manufacturer, Unimicron Technology Corp., generated handsome revenue of NT$3.959 billion (US$119.96 million) in August, up 0.75% from July
Overall, my thinking is that PCB market in Asia has started to see a steady and consistent revenue growth. More and more PCB circuit board RFQ and PCB design services in the pipeline from customers, enquiry on faster PCB prototype services has also been highlighted by some PCB manufacturing house. It is obviously a good sign.

Why does Feb have 28 days when july and aug have 31 consecutively?
Wouldn't it be easier to give both august and february 30 days? Then all the months would be balanced "31-30-31" etc.?
Is there a specific reason for this?
It's kind of confusing,but here you go:
The first calendar, created by Rome's founder Romulus, had ten months that added up to 304 days — not quite enough for a full solar rotation.
Numa Pompilius, Rome's king after Romulus, tried to even out the difference by adding two new months to the calendar: January and February.
Numa Pompilius's version of the calendar now had 355 days, so he created a new month called "Mercedinus" that would come after February every other year in order to keep up with the solar rotation.
Because this was a very confusing system and, in 45 BC, Rome's leader Julius Caesar got rid of Mercedinus completely. Instead, he took those extra ten days and placed them at the end of the months they already had.
Some months now had 31 days, some had 30, and February, due to the loss of Mercedinus, would have 29. This system was called the "Julian Calendar."
In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII noticed that the Julian calendar didn't take into account that 1/4 of a day included in the solar rotation. So,he created the concept of the leap year in order to keep the solar calendar synchronized.
These changes became the "Gregorian Calendar" ,which is what we use today.
