1 baby Robin fell out of a nest thats on my deck I put it back but I am concerned about it health what to do?
There are still 2 eggs in the nest and the other baby Robin must of flew the coop, and I am not sure the Mom and Dad are around anymore and I am not sure if its injured I don't think its ate either I don't know what to do but I really feel bad for the bird what can I do to help the Robin?
I tried feeding it a worm but it would not take it so I left the worm in the nest.
If the bird has feathers, it's a fledgling and it was supposed to be on the ground. Baby birds fledge (leave the nest) before they can fly. They remain on the ground for days, while the parents continue to feed and care for them.
If the bird is a fledgling, leave it alone.
If the bird is bald, or only has down or pin feathers, it's a nestling and it belongs in the nest. Leave it in the nest and do not feed it. Stay out of the area so the parents can return. If you have cats, keep them indoors.
BIRDS CAN'T SMELL HUMANS. They have a poor sense of smell and will not reject their young because they've been touched.
btw...Don't leave food or worms in the nest. It can attract predators.
