A Comic Character that has Endeared the Net- Savita Bhabhi
India is an ancient land where women lived a free life. As is seen from the temples of Khujaraho, sex was not a taboo as the images of man and woman in sexual embrace are carved for all to see. But with the advent of the Moslems during the 9th century, the purdah system came into vogue and sex became a taboo subject. With the coming of independance some sexual freedom dawned and women started coming out of their homes.The swim suit and the beauty contests further added to the liberlisation.
In that context the recent comic character Savita Bhabhi deserves mention. This a site on the net that by Indian standards is quite a revelation. It is tame by western standards, but for Indian it is a fun riot and a chance to see an Indian character that is 'different'.

The site ‘Savita Bhabhi' is a creation of creation of a man named Puneet Agarwal. Earlier he used the name 'deshmukh' but now he has revealed his true identity. He is an an Indian settled in England. His imagination took him to create the character Savita which has been a hit with viewers on the net. It is a comic character and in just the first few months, a record of sorts is established with over 60 million hits.
The site is a cartoon strip that brings to fore the sexescapades of young Indian ‘Bhabhi', meaning sister in law. The character is mod and urban based and for Indians it titilates. Even foreign vistors are impressed and have become fans of the character Savita.
Puneet has created a character that identifies with the secret desires of a lot many people. The site certainly has added the mystery of India and the tales of encounters of Savita with a host of charaters from the milk man to the boy next door are of great interest to viewers

What is the name of the comic that had spawn, ghost rider, and another character going into hell.?
It was published in the early 90s. I don't remember a whole lot about it and I would like to find it again. I think it may have been a trade paper book instead of a standard comic.
There was an issue of Spawn that had him walking in hell and super heroes were reaching out from the cells. I recall Ghostrider's hand being one of them, and then he comes to a point where one man is in a cell by himself and it runs out to be Superman. Very riveting issue.
